The day we got back from Florida, we had a medical school formal, they have one every year. Scott will graduate from medical school once during his lifetime, so we decided that we had to go this year.
It took forever to find a modest dress for this event, but I finally found a modest and simple one at H&M.
I had been looking forward to just being with my Scottie.
No kids.
It's always nice to be with just him, no interruptions, just us.
I had also been looking forward to hitting the floor with him.
We are both ballroom dancers and we don't get very many chances to dance together...so I was looking forward to breaking out the moves!:)
The kids were sad to see us go again...they had missed us while we were in Florida.
The event was held in this really nice ballroom. There was yummy food, oh and there was an open bar!
Lucky us!!!:) ha ha!:)
We stuck to our diet cokes, though!:)
...and the bar tender made fun of Scott for asking for a diet coke.
It's always interesting to me, that people think they have to drink alcohol to have a good time.
Oh well...
Our good friends, the Gardner's joined us! I was so glad they did!
Mike is another LDS student in Scott's class and I've become good friends with his wife Anna.
They have two adorable kiddos.
The sushi was delicious. We were so full from all the good food there.
I got to meet a lot of Scott's peers. They are all great people and I'm glad Scott has been able to make friendships.
We had such a fun time dancing.
I was reminded how much I LOVE to dance...
...and how much fun I have with Scott.
It's been so nice to have the Gardner's, Mike and Anna's friendship...and have friends who are going through the same thing that we are going through.
It was such a fun night, until they started to play music with profanity and everyone started to get a little tipsy...ha!:)
That's when we decided to call it a night!
We were glad that we were able to go, and do something a little out of our 'married with children' comfort zones.

So fun! You look adorable!
Love the pictures of you both plus all the others it looked so fun. The food even looks yummy. I"m glad you were able to go even if the little ones felt left out!!
Looks like you guys had an amazing time! That dress you found is adorable! It reminds me that I need to go check out H&M more often. I have loved it since '99 when I first went to Europe and sometimes forget that we have it here in the states too! :)
HOttie! I love the dress and you look great in it! Scott looks good too, but you look much better.
See you can have a great time without the drinks.
I love the dress. Glad you guys decided to go to the formal. Hope you were able to break out the moves to something besides Disney music, Dora the Explorer, and Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam :)
You look beautiful! :) And part of the fun of events like that is laughing at how stupid drunk people act...maybe you should've stuck around longer. ;) Glad you had a nice date night out!
