You know you are the wife of a med student when...

DISCLAIMER: I love the fact that my husband is going into this profession, I really do.

Today. It hit me. I am the wife of a medical student. If I were to make a "You know you are the wife of a med student when..." List, this one would be #59 on the list:

#59. You know you are the wife of a medical student when your husband has a required "Cadaver Ceremony" scheduled on Mother's Day.

Yep. That's right. GW scheduled a ceremony for the cadavers that first year med students worked on this year on Mother's Day. Now, I don't want to sound disrespectful at all to these wonderful people who donated their bodies to science. It is very commendable and definitely deserves a ceremony. But, honestly, does it have to be on Mother's Day at 1pm, right when we have Church?

Odd they chose Mothers Day, I quite agree. Why not on Sat.? And what exactly do they do for the ceremony?

Is it bad that I am laughing? I feel horrible, but I can't help it. That's a terrible day to schedule something like that!

Wow, wow, wow! 2 points ahead of me on that one Denisse! We finish up with classes for this semester on 29th May. Robby will be doing research for two months after that. Hang in there! They're almost 2nd years! Hurray!

Haha... Funny, but also I can see how it would be frustrating at the same time. Med school gets ya every time. :)

P.S. Maybe they chose to do this for the shock value of it!

Ha! Did Scott learn to take clothes to the lab with him and change into and out of "disection clothing"? It's the only way I could get handle being close enough to John to get hugs. PeeEwww. Don't miss that smell!

Wow, how odd! I've never heard of such a thing but I guess it would make sense to have something like that...just not on Mother's Day! Hope you still manage to have a nice day! =)

What else would you rather be doing on Mother's Day? I mean, really? :)I always want to focus my day on Cadavers, don't you!?

Where does giving up birthdays and anniversary's fall on that list I'd like to know? (or any other important family events that always seem to land on the same day as a test or a conference or something required...) I don't complain, I just smile and say "you are going to owe me so big when this is all over :)!!!

That is kind of hilarious, in a sad, sad way. I hope he will do something great for you after it's over! You deserve it because you are such a great mom!
