Splash Pad.

Braden spent a few days with my mom this summer.  Brielle had her turn a few weeks earlier.
They both love spending one-on-one with their abuelita.
When I went to drop Braden off we met up with the Campbell's and headed to a splash pad.

Zach and Braden get along so well and had a fun time together.

It was a little chilly when we got there but then it got so hot.  I wished I would have brought my swimming suit too.

Brielle and her cheesy toothless grin.

Brookie loves the water...and I love those chunky little legs.

After playing in the water for a while, we headed to the playground.

It is always fun to play with friends.
Thanks Campbell's for the fun morning!:)

Clay & Karen Came to Visit.

We were so happy to have Clay and Karen visit for a couple of days.
It is such a blessing that we live so close to them now.
I feel so strongly about my kids having the good influence of their grandparents. My grandparents played such a huge role in my life.  They were such good examples and I love that I had the blessing of having their influence in my life.
I am lucky to have such amazing in-laws.  They have always been so kind and loving and our kids look up to them and enjoy spending time with them.

We were happy to show them our new place and show them a little bit of Salt Lake.

We had breakfast at the Blue Plate.  The Blue Plate is this funky, charming little diner and they are known for their good breakfast.  The food was yummy and the atmosphere fun.  My only complaint is that it was a bit too noisy...but other than that we enjoyed ourselves.
As soon as we were leaving these two guys started playing by the door.
It was fun.
After breakfast, we headed to Silver Lake.  Clay was a little tired, so he stayed in the car...Karen came along and we were glad to be able to spend that time with her.  It was such a perfect day.  The weather was beautiful and the trail and the views were perfect.
Brielle and Braden decided to be adventurous and climb this huge rock.
I was a little hesitant to let them but Scott quickly came to the rescue and brought them down.
I don't remember being this gutsy when I was a child...those two just climbed that rock like it was nothing.
Silver Lake has got to be one of my favorite place here so far.  I know there are tons of hiking trails to be discovered...
Those cute little ducks didn't seem to mind that we were so close to them.
Later that day, we headed to Clay and Karen's hotel to play at the pool.
It was so refreshing.
Brooke loved the water! She couldn't get enough.
As always, Braden loves to be thrown around in the pool.  That boy is so brave and he is a fish.
We had such a fun time talking and relaxing with Clay and Karen.
Scott has always been such a good conversationalist, and now I know that he got that from both of his parents.
We can always enjoy a good conversation with Clay and Karen.
{Thank you for accepting your democrat daughter-in-law}
ha ha!:)
It was such a fun weekend and I'm so grateful that we get to have that memory!
We love you Clay and Karen.
Thank you for being great.

Donut Falls.

A few weekends ago, we headed to Donut Falls.
It was a beautiful day.
I have decided that there aren't very many crappy days around here. The sun is usually always shining.  The skies are blue and it hardly ever rains.
There have been so many wild fires this year though, that I think rain would be a good thing.
We set the camera on a rock and tried to get a family portrait with the timer but it didn't quite work out for us.

Of course, Squeaky had to come.
Braden LOVES him!
...and to end our fun day and make it even more exciting, we saw a moose!

Stacey Came to Visit.

Saying goodbye to people you love is always so sad, especially when you know you won't be seeing them for a while.
Our good friends, Justin and Stacey and their two cute boys left to Japan last week for 3 long years.
I'm glad that we were able to say a proper goodbye to them.
Stacey finally met Brooke.
It had been over a year since had last seen them.
Jack was very skeptical of me taking a picture. :)
These two boys hit it off when they realized their common love for legos.
Tyring to get a good photograph of 5 little munchkins is nearly impossible!
This one was the best one.
This little boy, Anderson, is just so stinkin' cute...and not only is he cute, he has the cutest personality...and he LOVES to smile at the camera.
He was loving Brooke...I know it seems like he's tackling her but in reality he was trying to hug her.
These next three picture are so funny.  Brooke didn't really want to give Anderson any attention, she was mesmerized by a stick that she had found.
...until it finally made its way in to her mouth!
I'm so happy to know Stacey.  I always have such a fun time with her.  She has a way to make me laugh and  I'm grateful that I have her example of faith and strength in my life.
You are beautiful inside and out Stacey!
Thank you for making an effort to come see us.
Good luck in Japan.
Can't wait to see pictures of those beautiful white sand, turquoise beaches on your blog and seeing all of your adventures there.
