BYU-Idaho Foreign Language Department
As most of you know I teach Spanish part-time at BYU-Idaho and we recently had our department picture taken. I'm getting rather melancholic at the thought that in a few months I will no longer be teaching. I have enjoyed every second of teaching at BYU-Idaho. I am very passionate about teaching Spanish, I love the grammar and I love the challenge of being able to transfer the information to students! I have had wonderful and intelligent students and I have had a blast with them everyday! It really doesn't feel like I'm going to "work"! The only times that it feels like work is when I have piles of papers to grade and children demanding my full attention!!! Other than that I feel EXTREMELY blessed! Most of the people you see in this picture have touched my life in various ways! Many of them were my professors when I was still a student and others I have just been associated with since I started working here. It has been a blessing to see these outstanding people almost everyday for the last almost 4 years!!! I will miss them and I will miss teaching...

I so admire you for continuing to teach with two little ones. That's a lot of work, but I'm so glad you've enjoyed it. There's nothing like teaching. I miss it too sometimes. Way to go! And I love BYU-I. What a perfecf place to teach.
We can really relate to what you are feeling, the bittersweet of knowing the great member's of 67th ward and being so happy for them as they move on in their lives and being sad for ourselves because we will miss them. So many of them have made a great impact on our lives. You and Scott are one of those. Thank's for letting us be a part of your lives even if it is only for a year or two.
And, you look fantastic in that picture! I can see why they put you on the front row (besides the height issue, of course) -- you are gorgeous!
I have always admired you for teaching Spanish at BYU-I. I think that is such an awesome experience and opportunity that you were able to have. Teaching is GREAT and I too miss my own class, as I know you will. And I agree you look fabulous in that picture, I love your outfit!
What a huge blessing that job has been for you and your family. What would you have done without that awesome job?!?! And to do something that you truly love...not many people can say that! Of all the Spanish teachers I had, you were my favorite!! :)
